Stuff the Bus Food Drive
A group of students from Firestone Charter School needed volunteer hours and came to help in the pantry on what turned out to be the busiest pantry day for all of 2022. The pantry ran out of food, overflowed 4 carts with Food at Walmart, and ran out of that. The school was shocked that the shelves were completely bare. So they put together a food drive called “Stuff the Bus”.
A couple of the parent volunteers coordinated the food drive. Within a week, the school had enough food donated to fill a small school bus. They drove it over to the pantry, unloaded it, and helped organize it.
